Love!!!

Opening Mood: Just returned back from home.
Opening Song: None.

There are thousands and thousands of quotations on love. There are millions of songs and Zillions of stories and Gazzillions of movies on love.

And I am not sure which one of them to believe, because of so many reasons, one of them being the lack of experience. So I better keep my mouth shut about this kind of slippery stuff, but I feel like barking today. For no particular reason [probably theg's post has triggered something, which I am not able to concretely identify] I want to talk of one quote on Love.

Ages ago, I read this very powerful book "The Fountainhead" which had a great line about love -

"To say 'I love you' one must know first how to say the 'I'."

When I first read it, I was like "Wowie! What a statement" without even half realizing how might it feel to be in love. I don't think I understand that now either!

I have been wondering, I have been thinking. I don't have an answer, but, you bet, I do have a question.

All's fine if you treat Rand's statement like a photograph. Look at it, appreciate it, turn the page and look at the next photograph in the album. But when you start thinking of Dynamic quality, you start wondering, is this statement always true?! I mean, will this statement hold good once both "I" and "You" have acknowledged the "I Love You"? Will knowing to say the "I" help, once "I" and "You" have combined to become a "We"? Shouldn't "Love" be the guiding light for "I" and "You" then onwards?

Arrrgh @$#!@#!! What am I even thinking?! Something about which I know absolutely nothing.
Where is the Mop, where is the Broom???
Let me shove this thought outta my Room...

Whoooosh!! Mop Mop Mop!!!

There - Swept away. Back to a clean state of mind again :-)

Closing Song: None.
Closing Mood: In a hurry. Another trek. Charmadi Ghats this time!

Fountainhead is highly over-rated. It's a good book, but it take Rand 700+ pages to say what she wants to say. She might as well have said it in three sentences.

"It's my life. I'll do what I really really like. Screw you!"

hey gotee, in matters of love, if you use your head, you are screwed. Actually if you are in love itself you are screwed!! Jokes apart, started reading the fountain head again. all coz that stupid librarian is taking her own sweet time to organise the new books like "zen and the art of motorcycle maintainace", shalimar, the clown, alchemist, rain maker, etc

I still ain't sure why I wrote the post in the first place. Probably I was feeling very sleepy and wanted to keep myself awake. Anyway,

@safari al:
I agree Fountainhead is highly overrated. But it was one of the first non-timepass novels I read, so was very impressed by it.

@theg
Hmmm, I am not sure, if I want to talk about such stuff because I think mere talking is a waste of time. Some things have to be experienced firsthand before you start theorizing about them.

@anonymous:
Yup! Always.

@kripal pais:
Try The chronicles of Narnia if you haven't read it already. It's pretty decent.

Abhishek dragged me for the movie. NO WAY IN HELL you going to be able to make me read that book

@randomwalker
you might call it a waste of time, or it might be a learning experience. its how you take it!
and can you theorize love? i don't think so.

Even I've watched that movie, but after reading the book, this is what I felt.
- The book has a lot of stuff that ain't in the movie.
- The book is in the form of a narration, which makes it more interesting.

@theg
Once I reach the "Been there; Done that" stage, I don't "Go there; Do that" again!

Hope you got the point.
